The prospects of better U.S. economic growth and less regulation have piqued investors’ interest in commercial real estate this year despite rising interest rates, according to the CBRE Americas Investor Intentions Survey 2017.

Investment motivations are increasingly being driven by the yield spread. The emphasis on capital appreciation has weakened due to the current market cycle.

While 2017 will be an eventful year with major elections upcoming in Europe, investor’s focus is on the economic climate rather than geo-political events.
