For year 2022, the Bank of Thailand (BoT) assessed that the economy would grow at 3.3%, unchanged from the previous forecast. In the latest BoT monetary meeting in September 2022, the committee unanimously voted to increase the policy rate at 1.00%. Headline inflation (CPI) fluctuated during this quarter, increasing from 7.61% Y-o-Y in July to 7.86% Y-o-Y in August but falling to 6.41% in September.
There were two real estate investment trusts (REITs) with additional investments.
• FTREIT invested in the freehold rights over lands and buildings in four industrial estates with a total combined value of THB 909.61 million.
• AIMCG invested in the leasehold right over land and building in Porto Chino for an additional 5-year lease period with a total investment value of THB 32 million.
There was one new REIT, BA Airport Leasehold Real Estate Investment Trust (BAREIT), invested in the leasehold right over land and property in a part of Samui International Airport.
